The New World Center is an iconic venue in Miami Beach that was designed by world renowned architect, Frank Gehry. A magnificent architectural gem, the New World Center has received glowing acclaim from architectural reviews. It is home to the New World Symphony under the artistic direction of Michael Tilson Thomas, and has become a landmark building in the heart of South Beach since its completion in 2011.
John & Bradley’s incredibly beautiful ceremony in The New World Center’s Performance Hall made use of some of the venue’s unique features, including its ability to easily change configuration, the exceptional acoustics, and the multimedia and technical capabilities.
The couple took their vows in a minimalist setting featuring a graphic, circular stage and a spotlight on the ceremony. As the ceremony ended, an impressive display of digitally mapped fireworks exploded across the projection sails floating above the stage.
Perhaps one of the most impressive aspects of this event’s production was how the whole team flipped the performance hall from the ceremony setting to a glamorous night club scene for the after party. The performance hall’s transformation for the late night party took place while guests dined in the Atrium, and it was no small feat! Take a look at the two set ups in the slideshow below and compare the ceremony setting to the party scenes; the seating was retracted to make space for elegant lounge furniture, decor, bars and a dance floor that was set up by the catering and production team with precision and in record time!
