As the exclusive caterer for The New World Center, Thierry Isambert Culinary and Event Design catered the New World Symphony Gala 1000 on Saturday March 12th, celebrating its 28th anniversary and reaching the important milestone of 1000 alumni.

The New World Symphony prepares highly gifted musicians graduating from prominent music programs to take on leadership roles in orchestras around the world. All proceeds from this unforgettable evening go towards supporting this mission. This gala honored the vision of co-founders, Michael Tilson Thomas and Ted and Lin Arison by welcoming back notable alumni who are now influencing the world of classical music.
The performance featured new World Symphony's 87 fellows onstage with the five notable alumni who returned for this event: Andrew Wickesbrg (Pittsburgh symphony Orchestra - Viola,) Joseph Peters (Minnesota orchestra - Prinicpal Oboe,) Rebekah Heller (International Contemporary Ensemble - Bassoon,) Billy Hunter (Metropolitan Opera - Principal Trumpet) and Christopher McLaurin (Kansas City Symphony - Principal Percussion.)

500 influential supporters of the New World Symphony were welcomed by the NWS signature blue carpet arrival followed by cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. At 8:30, after the concert, we served a 3 course sit-down dinner in 4 different areas of the iconic Frank Gehry-designed venue: the rooftop, atrium lobby, pavilion and donor’s lounge. Following the appetizers, the 500 guests were offered three different options for the main course. Dessert was a custom designed opera cake in the shape of a baby grand piano.
The festivities continued at the exclusive late-night after-party featuring the Michael Andrew Big Band with guest performance by NWS Trombone Fellow, Nick Platoff.
