There is never a dull day for caterers and event planners! A few weeks ago, large corporate events kept us very busy. Well, this week has seen a revival of romance with an array of fabulous weddings. There have been destination weddings for couples and their guests escaping the chilly northern states for a few days of sun, fun and love in our beautiful city, as well as stunning celebrations for local lovebirds.
Besides the weddings, we catered a VIP breakfast at an Opa Locka airport hangar for potential buyers of a $22 million private jet. Last year they went to 11 cities and sold 10 aircraft, this year they are visiting 64 cities, do the math!
We also catered a cruise on the 94 foot Golden Girls yacht. The 16 guests were bankers, real estate developers and construction executives who are all on board (pardon the pun) for a brand new construction project involving a new marina and apartment tower. Cocktails were followed by an incredible raw bar and gourmet buffet, all set to the tunes of a concert pianist on the baby grand.

Destination: Vizcaya, For NY Couple's Wedding
Two gentlemen and their 110 guests flew down from New York to celebrate their union at Vizcaya. Guests were greeted by servers with trays full of flutes of green champagne to remind everyone that it was, after all, St Patrick's day. With champagne in hand, everyone strolled through the luxurious Vizcaya gardens to the site of the ceremony, which was followed by a sit down dinner at tables each named after a different orchid. Guests and the happy couple danced all night!

Cuban Star, Dayme Arocena, at The Light Box At Goldman Warehouse
We were thrilled and inspired by the incredible talent of Dayme Arocena, performing at The Lightbox At Goldman Warehouse in Wynwood. Dayme hails from Havana and was performing as part of the Global Cuba Fest taking place last week. Billboard named Dayme "One Of The 10 Latin Artists To See" at the SXSW festival in Austin, and NPR listed her album, "Nueva Era," as one of the top 50 albums of 2015. Check her out, you won't be disappointed! In fact, look up what's going on at The Miami Light Project. They give artists a platform to showcase their work and are contributing much to arts and culture in South Florida. Thierry Isambert Culinary and Event Design has a concession at The Light Box, so do stop by!
