In a week that was overflowing with art-related events, Thierry’s made masterpieces out of the cuisine served at a slew of not-to-be-missed happenings attended by a coveted invite list of collectors, fashionistas and party-hopping art lovers.
ROAD RAGER
Luxury carmaker BMW kicked things off with a two-day activation which included the unveiling of new automobile models. Car enthusiasts enjoyed the sleek vibe at 1111 Event Space on Miami Beach’s legendary Lincoln Road, as they and other guests noshed on foodie-favorite comfort snacks like fried chicken and waffle wedges, ahi tuna tacos and juicy burger sliders.
BEAUTY AND THE BLISS
Swiss beauty brand La Prairie took over a sandy spot along Miami Beach’s shore to celebrate the unveiling of “Dance of Light and Water,” their 2021 collaboration with performing artist Wen-Chi Su. Festivities included a VIP preview followed by a public beach viewing, where champagne flowed and was paired beautifully with caviar-topped golden bellinis and coconut popsicles. A private, seated dinner gala was held later at The Bass and included a menu of succulent fresh fish and delicate dessert plates.
GUCCI CREW
Hot fire chicken skewers kept things spicy at Gucci’s Miami Design District fete, honoring lauded artist Mickalene Thomas. Well-dressed guests viewed the latest accessories by the storied Italian fashion house, before dancing the night away and snacking on the buttermilk brined chicken served with pickles and bread, as well as tasty blue crab hush puppies, jerk tofu with mango chutney, and satsuma juice tarts with vanilla Chantilly cream topping.
Thierry’s also collaborated with other prominent brands like Audemars Piguet and Cultivist, as well as event partner New World Center’s TRUIST happenings during Miami Art Week. More details on that and other unforgettable Basel party moments in our next blog post and newsletter.
