Award-winning film-makers and Miami cinephiles closed the week-long festival with a party under the stars at the Miami Centro Cultural Español. The EL COTO RIOJA AWARDS NIGHT PARTY followed the international premier of “FOR YOUR OWN GOOD,” (Es Por Tu Bien) directed by Spanish director, Carlos Theron.
Our Chicken-Chorizo and Vegetarian Paella, served to the hundreds of party goers in honor of the Spanish cultural theme, was paired with El Coto Rioja wines and Stella Artois brews while guests celebrated the closing of the 34th annual Miami Film Festival.
The Miami Film Festival has been bringing the best of world cinema to Miami since 1984 and has hosted and introduced an impressive list of renowned filmmakers and actors. Their mission is to bridge cultural understanding and encourage artistic development by provoking thought through film. Administration of the festival is managed by Miami Dade College.
Stellar entertainment was provided by rising stars, LOCOS POR JUANA, a GRAMMY and LATIN GRAMMY nominated bilingual Jam-Band, whose distinct Latin, Caribbean and American rhythms (with a touch of Reggae,) and energetic live performance had most guests dancing at some point during the evening.
