The New World Center isn’t your typical wedding venue, and that’s exactly the point. Designed by Frank Gehry and located in the cultural heart of Miami Beach, this world-class performance space offers architectural drama, state-of-the-art sound, and an unexpected versatility for private events.
For this particular wedding, the couple leaned into the venue’s striking contrasts, pairing the sleek, modern bones of the space with a soft, pastoral design vision. Cocktail hour unfolded in the rooftop garden, where guests mingled with panoramic views of Miami as their backdrop. Lush green hedges, whitewashed walls, and open skies gave the moment an effortless, natural elegance.
Then came the reveal. (… keep scrolling…)
Guests were invited into the Michael Tilson Thomas Performance Hall, completely reimagined for the reception. Towering trees took root as centerpieces, grounding the room in organic texture and turning the circular tables into miniature forest scenes. Overhead, a custom projection of sun-dappled branches gave the illusion of dining under an open canopy. It was immersive, cinematic, and full of intention.
The tabletop design followed suit with green and ivory porcelain plates, wild garden florals spilling between taper candles, and crisp linens with understated prints. Everything whispered country charm, without ever forgetting it was in the middle of Miami Beach.
As exclusive caterer to the New World Center, Thierry Isambert curated a menu that mirrored the balance of rustic warmth and refined style. Passed hors d’oeuvres on the rooftop gave way to beautifully plated courses indoors, served with precision and a sense of ease.
This wedding is proof of what’s possible when bold design meets a venue with range. The New World Center isn’t just a performance space, it’s a blank canvas for creativity, with indoor-outdoor flow, high-impact visuals, and an unmistakably Miami energy. For couples looking to go beyond the ballroom, it doesn’t get more dynamic than this.
