When a First Birthday Becomes a Whole Storybook
Some first birthdays get balloons. Victor got a forest.
"Victorland" was never going to be an ordinary garden party, and it wasn't. Working alongside the team at MOOSH EVENTS, who dreamed up and designed the entire world this celebration lived in, we built a day that felt like stepping into a storybook. Moss-covered tables. Whimsical woodland creatures. A color palette so dreamy it looked painted on. It was equal parts elegant and playful, which, we think, is exactly what a one-year-old's birthday should be.
A Magical Forest, Built Entirely From Vegetables
The centerpiece of it all was a display that stopped every guest in their tracks: a bunny and a mushroom, sculpted entirely from vegetables and set into a bed of moss, wild greenery, and trailing herbs. Bundles of carrots stood tall like little trees. Breadsticks bundled in linen looked like kindling. Every element — the caladium leaves, the foraged greens, the wooden crates dressed in moss — was chosen to build one continuous idea: a magical forest, grown for a garden party lunch.

Waiters in Pyjamas, Because Why Not
Instead of traditional black-and-white service uniforms, our team served in soft striped pyjamas, a whimsical, family-friendly touch that set the tone the moment guests walked under the tent. It was playful without losing polish, and it made the service itself feel like part of the fantasy rather than the background of it.
A Dreamy, Candy-Striped Tent
Above it all: a tent draped in ribbons of red, yellow, sage, and sky blue, catching the light and casting the whole party in the softest color wash. Underneath, a harlequin-checkered dance floor and café tables dressed in coordinating stripes carried the palette down to eye level. It's the kind of detail that photographs beautifully and, more importantly, feels beautiful to stand inside.
A Garden Party Lunch the Whole Family Could Enjoy
Victorland was designed as a true family-friendly celebration — a relaxed garden party lunch built for guests of every age, from Victor's littlest cousins to grandparents settled in at café tables under the trees. The spread leaned fresh and abundant: grilled meats, crisp salads, papaya slaw, herb-flecked grains, and platters of vegetables styled straight into the forest theme. Nothing felt fussy. Everything felt generous.
An Open Bar With Custom Signature Sips
For the grown-ups, an open bar served custom signature cocktails and mocktails, created specifically for Victorland and finished tableside with fresh garnishes and herbs pulled right from the same moss-and-greenery styling as the food displays. Bright juices, house-made syrups, and a bar cart tucked into its own striped skirt kept the drinks program feeling just as considered as everything else on site.
