Imagine getting married in an iconic venue designed by world renowned architect, Frank Gehry. A magnificent architectural gem, the New World Center has received glowing acclaim from architectural reviews. It is home to the New World Symphony under the artistic direction of Michael Tilson Thomas, and has become a landmark building in the heart of South Beach since its completion in 2011.
Browse through this photo story of a spectacular wedding at the New World Center. The whole venue was reserved for this intimate occasion. Guests arrived and gathered in the Atrium where they were greeted with Champagne and sparkling water. The Atrium’s captivating architectural details such as the cascading geometric shapes, curved surfaces and vaulted ceiling never cease to amaze visitors, and such a majestic entrance sets the tone for a luxurious celebration!
Once most of the 160 guests had arrived, they were ushered to the rooftop to be seated for a magical moonlit ceremony. New World Center’s rooftop boasts a breathtaking panoramic vista of Miami beach from Biscayne Bay to the Atlantic Ocean, and the couple took their vows with the twinkling skyline of Miami Beach in the distance.
Guests headed back to the Atrium for cocktail hour following the ceremony. There was a gourmet Mediterranean Flatbread Station, and waiters passed Champagne and delectable small bites such as Macademia Crusted Lamb Chops, Veggie Tartar in Cucumber Cups and Spicy Tuna on Warm Risotto Cake with Sea Salt and Truffle .
The Performance Hall looked sublime, with beautiful floral décor by ALWAYS FLOWERS with Teresa Blumberg of BLUMBERG EVENTS. New World Center’s Performance Hall garners international attention for its design and technical capabilities. A unique environment was created with the whole space beautifully illuminated thanks to the customizable state of the art lighting environment.
The elegant sit-down dinner featured a menu with some of our favorite classics such as the Filet Mignon, or Vodka Seabass Brulée with Candied Kumquats, Sun Choke Puree and Grilled Asaparagus, or the vegetarian Japanese Mushroom Risotto.
