A LEGACY OF LOVE / by Alina Isambert

Miami couple Elyse and Francisco celebrate their next chapter as husband and wife during three days of festivities together with dear friends and family.

Without a doubt, 2022 has been THE year of weddings. In the past six months, Thierry’s has catered countless celebrations of marriage, each just as special as unique as the next. When it comes time to bring to life the event of their dreams, couples are more than ever looking beyond the usual details often seen at weddings — which are already romantic as is — and seeking to create unforgettable experiences for their guests.

One such couple is Elyse and Francisco. The pair set upon their journey into marital bliss surrounded by loved ones during a three-day happening that included a rehearsal dinner, wedding, and day-after brunch at a grand familial home.

Family Ties

Granddaughter to Charlene Esserman and late auto magnate and philanthropist Ron Esserman, the bride wanted a warm, romantic affair that celebrated the merging of two families. The excitement began with a rehearsal dinner at the home of Elyse’s parents, a home even more special to the couple because it is where the groom proposed. The wedding party and close family members noshed on small bites like pigs in a blanket, stuffed potato balls, and mini Cuban sandwiches, followed by Thierry’s delicious paella, pizza, and refreshing nitrogen ice cream, as they declared their best wishes to the happy couple and the bride’s father, who was celebrating a birthday that evening.

The Happiest of Days

The historic Deering Estate was the venue on day two — or the BIG day — of celebrations. A favorite spot for the bride’s family, the iconic South Florida property was the ideal backdrop for the rustic glamour of the wedding ceremony, during which the couple exchanged vows and rings surrounded by fresh spring flowers and in the presence of those that mean the most to them.

The next morning, a beautiful brunch was held to see the happy newlyweds off in style. After a night of dancing, attendees needed a respite to wish the couple well while relaxing and taking in the lush scenery of the bride’s grandmother’s bayfront home in Coconut Grove, where the last day of the festivities took place. The team from Thierry’s was there to whip up fresh, fluffy eggs at the omelet station, savory potatoes, and fish, as well as serving buttery pastries, mini-waffles and French toast, and of course mimosas and Bloody Mary cocktails. A perfectly blissful and satisfying way to celebrate the start of Elyse and Francisco’s new life together.
