We were super excited to cater Holden’s Bar Mitzvah November 12th! Having catered his brother Jake’s Bar Mitzvah at Ironside 3 years ago, we were looking forward to working with the family again.
The venue for Holden’s party was the beautiful Sacred Space in Wynwood, a center for personal health and transformation programming, including yoga and meditation. The loft-like space featuring a garden sanctuary with a reflection pool and an array of local, exotic and medicinal plants, doubles as an event space for social and corporate events.
The party included 150 adults and kids who dined and celebrated together despite slightly different culinary experiences for each group. The adults enjoyed an elegant sit-down dinner while the kids opted for interactive stations offering favorite kid’s menu items like sliders, fries, mac ‘n cheese and chicken strips. When the Watermelon Tataki salad was served to the adult tables, a lavender-lemon mist was generated by hot tea poured into vases of dry ice incorporated into the table centerpieces, creating an immersive sensorial culinary experience for the diners.
Interactive dessert stations, including a nitrogen ice-cream station, provided sweet treats to top off the dining experience.
Entertainment included a Chinese paper Cutter who flew in from new York, a Henna Artist and music by Mike Sipe Productions/Pure Energy Entertainment.
