LUXURY CATERING FOR INDIAN WEDDINGS IN MIAMI AND WORLDWIDE / by Eric Monteiro

Indian weddings are renowned for their grandeur, cultural richness, and elaborate multi-day celebrations. These weddings are not just events but immersive experiences filled with vibrant traditions, stunning decor, and, most importantly, exquisite cuisine. Catering plays a pivotal role in ensuring that every meal reflects the authenticity and splendor of Indian heritage. At Thierry Isambert Culinary and Event Design®, we specialize in delivering luxurious and authentic Indian cuisine for weddings, elevating each celebration with flavors that are both traditional and innovative.

Authentic Indian Cuisine with a Luxury Touch

Our international team of chefs brings a wealth of expertise in global cuisines, including Indian fare. We take pride in crafting menus that celebrate the diverse culinary traditions of India, ensuring that every dish is as authentic as it is elegant. Our approach to Indian wedding catering is rooted in tradition, from hand-stretched naan baked in a tandoor oven on-site to house-made chutneys that pair perfectly with classic appetizers like Achari Paneer Tikka and Pees Kachori.

For a recent luxury Indian wedding reception at the Historic Alfred I. DuPont Building in downtown Miami—a venue known for its breathtaking Art Deco architecture and iconic ballrooms—we curated an exceptional dining experience that reflected both the cultural significance and lavishness of the occasion.

A Culinary Journey Through India

The reception featured a grand 16-foot buffet titled “A Tour of India,” offering a wide variety of traditional dishes. Guests indulged in beloved classics such as:

  • Chicken Tikka Masala – Succulent chicken simmered in a creamy tomato-based curry

  • Chettinad Fish Curry – A South Indian delicacy with bold spices and coconut

  • Lamb Curry – Rich and aromatic, slow-cooked to perfection

  • Vegetable Jalfrezi – A medley of fresh vegetables stir-fried with Indian spices

  • Palak Paneer – A velvety spinach curry with homemade paneer cheese

  • Chana Masala – Hearty chickpeas cooked in a spiced tomato sauce

  • Malai Kofta – Soft dumplings made from paneer and potatoes in a luscious cashew gravy

Accompaniments included an assortment of fresh naan—plain, garlic, mint, paneer cheese, and sesame—and fragrant basmati rice dishes like Vegetable Biryani and Pulao Rice Pilaf.

Interactive Culinary Experiences

To enhance the guest experience, we offered live food stations that added an element of engagement and freshness to the meal. Our Tandoori Station featured succulent Tandoori Lamb Chops, Murg Tandoori (baby chicken marinated in yogurt and spices), and Grouper Tikka. At the Chaat Station, guests enjoyed authentic street food flavors with Sev Puri, Pani Puri, Aloo Tikki, and Vada Pav, complemented by a selection of chutneys.

Elegant Hors d’Oeuvres and Decadent Desserts

The reception began with an array of passed hors d’oeuvres that balanced Indian and international flavors. Signature selections included Mutton Malai Kofta Rolls, Garden Samosas, and Cajun Shrimp Phyllo. The evening ended on a sweet note with a lavish dessert display featuring Indian favorites like Gulab Jamun Cheesecake alongside Thierry’s famous ‘Golden Lips’ Valrhona chocolate praline cups and passion fruit mousse.
