Meet Chef Bruno, French native hailing from Lyon, an industrial city in the Auvergne region of France.

As a pastry chef, he has found Valentines Day to be a questionable holiday. When asked what he'd suggest as a Valentines Day pastry, he stands with a stack of papers in one hand and a pen in the other. Even after 20 years together, his narrowing eyes sparkled with anticipation below his black cap. He sighed and replied in an accent so thick I was sure to miss my mark, "They say we are romantic, but the french are romantic when we have time."

We can learn a valuable lesson from Chef Bruno, make life easier on V-day: buy some strawberries and melt a chocolate bar.

Mysterious as he may be, his affair with Patisserie always prevails and invites you into his world.

We may now safely assume that when he is in the Pastry Room until 2 in the morning, he is reinventing his own Valentines Day - every day, with love.
