September 17th, 2015 - Thierry Isambert was awarded the "Ordre du Mérite Agricole" by the Ministry of France for his culinary excellence, business integrity and involvement in charitable events and philanthropic donations.
The award ceremony took place at Palm Court, in Miami's Design District, and the medal was presented to Thierry by the esteemed Consul General, Philippe Letrilliart. Thierry received his first medal, "Chevalliers," in 2000.
The "Ordre du Mérite Agricole," awarded by the French Republic for outstanding contribution to individuals who render exceptional services, was first awarded in 1883.
The prize was created by the Minister of Agriculture to recognize individuals having a direct and powerful impact on the national economy. Recipients include farmers, economists, professors, agronomists, and researchers.
The order comprises approximately 340,000 knights to date.
