We were excited to celebrate with UNEARTHED VINTAGE who just inaugurated their new showroom with a Grand Opening bash to kick off the season!

Katie and Jovan Blineau founded South Florida’s first vintage rental company in January 2012. It all started when they were planning their own wedding and realized they couldn’t find a local rental company who could give them the eclectic vintage pieces they wanted. As they sourced unique pieces for their own wedding reception, they realized they loved doing this together; they also found that other people loved the style, so they created Unearthed Vintage. Today, their carefully curated collection makes up the largest vintage rental company in the Southeast.
Unearthed Vintage are the only major rental company in South Florida using reclaimed barn wood to build their own custom designed pieces, in fact the majority of their wooden pieces are designed and built in-house by Jovan who is also a woodworker. Upholstered pieces are purchased by Katie based on their shape, and completely re-upholstered on the premises.
Unearthed Vintage’s unique style is very popular for weddings and other social events, but it is also in demand for corporate events. Katie says they have seen an increase in rentals for corporate events and they work closely with local DMCs for many of these occasions. Corporate clients bring their employees to Miami for special events and love the rustic style that is chic and elegant while being a welcome change from the classic corporate look.

Their new showroom is much bigger, allowing them to focus on building more pieces to accommodate larger groups. Katie also said that this season they are seeing a trend towards the color copper and have invested in 250 copper chairs and 100 copper barstools. Mixing metals such as silvers with copper and gold, and juxtaposing them with rustic wood and other vintage pieces creates a pleasing mix of modern and vintage for a contemporary look.
In the past month alone, Thierry Isambert Culinary and Event design has had the pleasure of collaborating with Unearthed Vintage for a few exciting events. In September we were at “BEHIND THE MAGIC,” a 2 day gala tablescape and culinary art showcase. Our modern gala tablescape won “people’s choice” award on both days of the event. Unearthed vintage’s stunning geometric helix dome provided just the right balance of modern with vintage along with their other unique rental items.
We also had the honor of catering a fundraiser for presidential candidate, Secretary Hillary Clinton, at a private home in Miami. The sleek, contemporary event design by LUXE FÊTE, featured Unearthed Vintage’s farmhouse tables and bar.
