BIZBASH Ranks South Florida's Top Events For 2015 / by Eric Monteiro

Thierry Isambert Culinary and Event Design catered 3 of Miami's Top 100 Events Ranked by BIZBASH

BIZBASH considered economic impact, buzz, innovation and prominence within the community in order to decide the ranking.

The awards were announced on May 25th during the annual live expo held at the Fort Lauderdale convention center. This industry expo showcases vendors and innovative products for the hospitality and event industry. Attendees enjoyed samples of signature cocktails served from our booth.

The Best Buddies Gala received 1st place in the “Benefits” category, The Vizcaya Ball which we catered and executed full production, received 3rd place in the “Benefits” category and the New World Symphony Gala ranked 11th.

BEST BUDDIES #1

We catered the 19th annual Best Buddies gala at the Ice Palace in Miami, ranked #1 by BIZBASH. 900 guests attended this star-studded event and $2.5 million was raised for this organization which connects volunteers with people who live with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We designed a custom menu, featuring the main course in a school canteen-style lunch tray as this year they were honoring their student volunteers. Custom desserts included a playful Pac-Man dome and whimsical Ghost Man cookies.

VIZCAYA BALL #3

Vizcaya’s 60th annual gala took place in November 2015. Thierry Isambert Culinary and Event Design catered the event and executed full production.

The theme was “A Return To The Gilded Age And All That Glitters,” and this magical evening lived up to that promise. Upon arrival, guests strolled the red carpet leading up to the historic mansion.  A cocktail reception awaited them, along with a seafood bar and music by the Florida Youth Orchestra. A decadent multi-course dinner for the 250 guests was served on the terrace overlooking the bay, followed by dancing and a stunning fireworks display.

A record $200,000 was raised from this event.

NEW WORLD SYMPHONY GALA #11

On Saturday March 12th, 2015, the New World Symphony Gala 1000 celebrated its 28th anniversary and 1000th alumni. As exclusive caterer to The New World Center, we catered this stunning event. Michael McDowell was emcee,  and to everyone's delight, 10 time Grammy winner and NWS co-founder, Michael Tilson-Thomas, made a surprise appearance.

500 influential supporters of the New World Symphony enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a 3 course sit-down dinner. A magical evening of music was provided by 87 of New World Symphony’s fellows and 5 notable alumni who are now influencing the world of classical music.
