INTERNATIONAL CUISINE: A NEW TREND THAT'S BEEN AROUND FOR A WHILE AND IS HERE TO STAY / by Eric Monteiro

Expanding cultural horizons with cuisine is one of the biggest food trends of 2021. Due to popular demand, we have been serving global cuisine in Miami for years but people are increasingly seeking out more exciting flavors and new culinary experiences for catering Miami corporate events and luxury South Florida weddings. Reasons for this trend are manifold but international travel restrictions over the past year are definitely one source of this yearning for new adventures, and if we can’t travel, what better way to experience a culture first hand than through an authentic gourmet experience?

INDIAN CUISINE

If you’re not yet acquainted with the wonders of Indian cuisine and you’re excited about trying something new, one bite of a sumptuous Chicken Tikka Masala with its chunks of marinated, roasted chicken immersed in a creamy, spiced curry sauce will probably get you hooked. Indian cuisine also has a wide selection of vegetarian options such as the Channa Masala (chickpeas & tomatoes with garlic, ginger, onion, chillis, and traditional Indian spices) and the stuffed eggplant. Pair any Indian dish with a side of fluffy, homemade naan prepared from hand-stretched dough and baked in a Tandoor oven and you’ll wonder where this heavenly cuisine has been all your life! Catering for Miami corporate events often includes lavish spreads featuring the best of Indian cuisine and these stations are immensely popular with guests.

ASIAN CUISINE

Asian cuisine is a broad term that groups together as many different types of cuisine as there are regions and cultures in the geographical area. Our chefs understand the subtleties of Eastern and Southeast Asian culinary traditions and are highly experienced in the nuances of preparing authentic dishes from these countries. A crowd-pleaser at cocktail parties is the Dim Sum Bar. Dim Sum are bite-sized, delicious, plump and juicy dumplings filled with shrimp, meat or veggies and wrapped in translucent, lightly steamed dough. .They are easy to serve and eat while standing up and socializing.
